In the first two months of 2018, the USA was already recovering from several school shootings. One of the latest ones was Parkland in Florida. The shooting brought many to their feet and knees.
Many rallies have taken place since the Parkland shooting. More and more students are speaking out. They have had enough.
Some students are angry and others just can’t believe what had happened. Many believe words are no longer meaningful. They want action.
One student is taking a different approach. She is known for being quiet and having a big heart. She has also become enraged to the point the entire nation has taken notice.
That student is named Hannah Harrison. She decided to send her message of support via an all-inclusive valentine. The student, who studies at Spruce Creek High School, placed over 3,000 handmade hearts on lockers. In fact, she put one on each locker.
Each heart included a sentiment, such as words that spelled out “you’re loved.” She told the media she prepared to do this for nearly eight weeks and she wanted to uplift people’s spirits. She said she didn’t want to leave any of her peers at her school out.
