Standing and sit-stand desks have dramatically increased in popularity recently, as the public learns more about the health issues that develop after spending all day behind a desk.

There have also been attempts to help desk bound workers become more active, like the DeskCycle or NextDesk Velo, and recently, a California company has decided to take this initiative a little farther by creating the Deskcise Pro, a unit the combines an exercise break and a standing desk into one simple unit.
While devices that are compact and independent like a DeskCycle were created to be used under a normal desk, they may still slide around or leave you hitting your desk with your knees.
The NextDesk Velo manages to avoid both of these issues and is basically an exercise bike with no handles, designed to be used with standing desks, but it has a price tag of US $799 that puts it out of many individuals price range.
Instead of attempting to add on to a design that already works, the Deskcise Pro was created from the bottom up, working to combine an exercise bike and a desk into one cohesive unit.
Where a conventional exercise bike has handlebars, Flexispot has added an adjustable desktop.
